At The Good News Shed, our courses will offer opportunities to learn new skills, explore your creativity, and discover the satisfaction of making something by hand. From woodworking and woodturning to 3D printing and other crafts, our friendly, inclusive workshops will provide a welcoming space to learn, share knowledge, and connect with others. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop existing skills, there’ll be something for everyone.

Pen Turning Experience
Pen turning is precise, satisfying work. You'll shape the barrel, work to exact dimensions for the hardware, and finish with a polish that shows off the grain. By lunchtime, you'll have completed the pen and heading home with a great sense of satisfaction.
